ABOUT

Ntombhi Ya Mutsonga Foundation

Ntombhi Ya Mutsonga is the founder of Ntombhi Ya Mutsonga Foundation, a Non-Profit Organisation established on the dire need to preserve language and celebrate heritage through arts. The foundations have a wide range of programs that contributes to social cohesion, enhance growth and development of local creatives, connects diverse people and aid in preserving heritage. These programmes include, Language Masterclasses, Poetry Competitions, Book Drive Campaigns where we collect books written in indigenous / vernacular language and donate to schools especially to those that lack facilities such as libraries where they can access resources.

The Ntombhi Ya Mutsonga Foundation is devoted to promoting literacy and igniting the adoration of reading and writing as well as creating long term solutions to the illiteracy issues affecting our generation.

These Programmes have enabled creatives to cultivate a sense of belonging, honour the past and to envision the future. They have offered great opportunities to challenge assumptions, spark conversations on how we can use the art to preserve heritage. More than anything, the programmes provide a platform to local service providers from different structures to promote their work, network and build clientele.

Ntombhi Ya Mutsonga believes in building relations and establishing collaborations. She has collaborated with some individuals and organisations to help fight the war of poverty by donating sanitary towels and school uniform to the less privileged.
